Required Installation:
Pump Requirements: For optimal operation, the system should be powered by a 2 HP or larger pump. This pump should be dedicated exclusively to the massage sequence system and not shared with other spa functions such as heating or filtration.
Custom Hydraulics: The valves can operate a group of 5 to 8 jets, depending on the diameter of the outlets. Each valve represents a programmed function within the sequencer, and for the sequence to function fully, 4 or 8 valves are required. Installing fewer valves will create an "inactive" period in the sequence.
Installation Instructions:
Electrical Requirements: The system draws power from a Balboa Spa Controller that is specially configured to operate the therapy sequencer when the appropriate pumps are turned on.
Hydraulic Requirements: Make sure the pump is generating enough flow to operate all jets and that the suction devices have sufficient capacity to handle the required flow. If two pumps are required, please also consider the additional electrical and suction requirements.
Spa Layout: When installing, it is important to carefully design the jet layout and hydraulic balance of the spa so that all jets will function optimally when all are operating simultaneously.
